High Nonlinear Microstructured Optical Fiber
Use a Ti sapphire femtosecond laser device to pump a 30cm long photonic crystal optical fiber, resulting in a continuous spectrum ranging from visible to near-infrared region, with a wavelength range of 465~250 Onm and a spectrum broadening width scope up to 2,000nm. Super-continuum spectrum generated when pump wavelength is in the abnormal dispersion region.
It can be seen from the above figure that the range of the super-continuum spectrum generated by this optical fiber reaches over 2,000nm; this optical fiber is doped with no nonlinear media and can produce such a wide spectrum broadening just by relying on the optical fiber structure itself.
